Making Appointments
We run an appointment system but keep a few times open to fit in with urgent
problems; you can make an appointment with your doctor by telephoning the
surgery. Urgent medical problems are dealt with promptly. Appointments are
normally made at 15 minute intervals so you can usually expect to spend 10
– 15 minutes with your doctor (this may change if there have been emergencies
or if the surgery is very busy). Longer appointments are readily available.
Fees
Medical Consulatations are charged as per Schedule of Fees with the Medicare
rebate as indicated. Longer appointments will be charged at the appropriate
higher fee with the appropriate Medicare rebate.
All Workers Compensations as well as Third Party Consultations will be charged
at the appropriate AMA or Workcover rate.
Psychology consultations are charged as per Schedule of Fees with the Medicare
rebate as indicated.
We ask that all accounts be paid promptly. Bulk Billing is available for pensioners
and Centrelink card holders as well as those Patients in financial need. If
you are having difficulties paying your fees, please talk to our medical receptionists.
After Hours Services
We look after our patients at all times of the day and night.
When the surgery is closed, one of the doctors from the practice is on call
for problems that need urgent medical attention, or one of the doctors from
National Home Doctor Service will provide urgent medical attention. The surgery
number will connect you to the duty doctor.
Out of Surgery Visits
If you are too sick to come to the surgery, we can visit you at home if you
live within a reasonable area of the practice. Request for house calls are
best made before 10.00am. Visits can also be arranged for patients in nursing
homes and at hospitals.
